I just posted a brand new album! It's a full set of images from the Lights.Camera.Fashion show at spa Event 2009. The images, which also include shots from the awards ceremony, are by spa Member Ken Kneringer. Here are a few sample images...

The Ting Tings: We Started Nothing
I was supposed to see them in concert this summer, but it (concert) was canceled. Fun album with some good songs. Not all around great, but I bet it would have been really fun to see them live. (***)
The Black Keys: Attack and Release
My cousin tried to get me to go see these guys a few years back while in NYC. I should have gone. Some sweet, soulful, Rock-n-Roll. Produced by one of the guys responsible for Gnarls Barkley - so a slight twist on things. (****)
Raphael Saadiq: The Way I See It
Just by looking at the cover art, you'll notice this is going to be a throwback album. In this case, it's the 1960's. One of the former members of Tony, Toni, Tonee, dude's got some serious soul. Love the album, one of my favorites of 2008! (*****)
Lady Gaga: The Fame
Great dance album. It's been out for a while, and I even saw her on some dance or singing show this year, but I just got her album recently. I love it, and think most people will really like it too. (****)
Tokyo Police Club: Elephant Shell
Nice alternative/electric mix to my large electronic/dance collection. Like it, don't love it. (****)
Robert Ludlum: Trevayne
I picked this book up at a used bookstore recently when I needed something to read. Written the year I was born (1973), Ludlum was responding to the political turmoil effecting the nation at the time. Not a great book, but it was fascinating to think about doing business 35 years ago. No cell phones, email, faxes, computers, the list could go on... (***)
Malcolm Gladwell: Outliers: The Story of Success
Why are the successful, successful? Because they are born with money? Because they are smarter? More talented? Not so much says Malcolm Gladwell (famous for his book The Tipping Point). It's about where you are born, how hard you work at something, and some of it has to do with chance. What does this mean for me or you? Not sure, but an interesting book to read. (****)
Cormac Mccarthy: The Road (Movie Tie-in Edition))
Well written, but I'm not into apocalyptic father/son stories. I don't recommend, though you may love it. (**)
Joseph Michelli: The New Gold Standard: 5 Leadership Principles for Creating a Legendary Customer Experience Courtesy of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company
In the middle of this book - but already have some good stuff to incorporate into spa. How to make things more simple and easier to understand, both internally and for the rest of the world. (*****)
Joseph Michelli: The Starbucks Experience: 5 Principles for Turning Ordinary Into Extraordinary
Another great book on customer service. A picture of a company that delivers the complete customer service experience. Author Dr. Joseph Michelli is the Keynote speaker at spa Event 2009. (****)
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
