Robert Ludlum: Trevayne
I picked this book up at a used bookstore recently when I needed something to read. Written the year I was born (1973), Ludlum was responding to the political turmoil effecting the nation at the time. Not a great book, but it was fascinating to think about doing business 35 years ago. No cell phones, email, faxes, computers, the list could go on... (***)Malcolm Gladwell: Outliers: The Story of Success
Why are the successful, successful? Because they are born with money? Because they are smarter? More talented? Not so much says Malcolm Gladwell (famous for his book The Tipping Point). It's about where you are born, how hard you work at something, and some of it has to do with chance. What does this mean for me or you? Not sure, but an interesting book to read.
