Web Nuggets of the Week

Man, it's been almost a month since the last time I've posted anything from this category. Not because I have nothing to share either...just haven't made it happen.

I've said it before, but it is so worth repeating. If you're on Twitter, you MUST follow Mashable. You will get so many great updates, info, and tidbits about social media - a lot of what I share here a lot of times originates from there. Other people I follow who are worth following are Ron Dawson, Joseph Michelli and Rick Warren. I would love to hear who you follow and find to be very worth while. I would love for you to follow me on Twitter if not already.

Speaking of Joseph Michelli, he wrote an incredible blog entry from a few weeks ago about selling through social media. You can find the whole article HERE. In a nutshell, he says that our message gets lost so easy because too often we don't really know the people who we're selling too - even though they are "following" us. Okay, I stand up and admit, I'm guilty. Reading that article has made me really re-evaluate how and what I'm using social media (specifically Facebook and Twitter) to share what my business has to offer. Here's the big point - Do I listen to what those who follow me need? Do I just shout until they can't help but hear or completely turn me off (un-follow me)?

As you know, Kia and I returned not too long ago from ONE. Jeff and Julia shared this great video and new service that they are offering their wedding clients - check it out by visiting their BLOG. It's a beautiful video and will inspire you for your next wedding shoot.

What Meatloaf was trying to say...

I had such a great feedback from posting the Total Eclipse of the Heart video that I posted last week, that I thought I should definitely post this one too. This is Meatloaf's "I Would do Anything for Love" and as funny as Total was I think this may be funnier. It takes a little bit to get going (though you need to watch for Kool Aid man at the beginning), but the end is absolutely hilarious. I tell you this because it is a little over 7 minutes long. Stick with it. Great stuff...
